In the immediate area you'll find trails that take you deep into the forest where you can come upon magnificent waterfalls or discover the changing shoreline of Lake Superior.

To the northeast there's the Porcupine Mountain State Wilderness Area in remote Upper Michigan featuring Lake of the Clouds.
