Trail update as of March 11, 2010

ALL IRON COUNTY SNOWMOBILE AND ATV TRAILS ARE CLOSED EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.  Gates along the trails will be closed.

ATV trails will remain closed until break-up conditions recede, under normal circumstances this occurs in mid-late May.  ATV trails will open on a trail-by-trail basis as trail conditions dry up and have been inspected for washouts and grade integrity.

Whitecap Mountains Ski Resort - Reporting 18-34 inch base with a power-packed powder and power-tilled snow surface. They have 5 lifts operating with ALL of the 43 trails open. 500 Acres sprawling acres covering Whitecap including the Thunderhead & Eagles Nest Mountains in the ancient Penokee Range overlooking Lake Superior's South Shore.

Montreal Trails for cross country skiing is reporting Fair conditions.  The track is melting, but their is still snow on the trail.  Use Caution the trail is icy in the Mornings.
