Bird Club Program – A Wisconsin Farm Boy in Galapagos with Steve Betchkal
Admission
- Free
Location
NLDC Lodge
Description
The Galápagos Islands are one of the most unique, enticing, and storied places on planet Earth. Darwin learned from them; Crusoe and Captain Ahab survived them; and Steve Betchkal photographed them. How did a Wisconsin farm boy end up living on a boat in the equatorial Pacific for two months in 2017? It’s a tale fit for Melville – with a whale of a slide show.
There will be a bird club business meeting at 6:30 PM, followed by the presentation at 7:00 PM. Registration is not required. This is a free event sponsored by the Discovery Center Bird Club.
