All ATV trails will remain closed until break-up conditions recede.  ATV trails will open on a trail-by-trail basis as trail conditions dry up and have been inspected for washouts and grade integrity.

Our trail system is comprised of Routes & Trails.  The "routes" are town roads and some are closed to ALL traffic during the Spring Break up.  Typically, roads/ routes open up for the opening of fishing (first Saturday in May).  As soon as the trail system is open it will be announced on Facebook, this website, radio & newspaper.

Thank you for your cooperation during this seasonal transition time.

Iron County offers THE Ultimate Recreational Trail Adventure with access to hundreds of miles of electrifying trails -- the largest trail system in Wisconsin.  Our trail system has family friendly trails that are easier to navigate to the more challenging for the experienced rider.  Scenic beauty abounds with many opportunities to "get back to nature." Ride through forest land to the secluded Spring Camp Falls or out to the shore of the largest freshwater lake in the world, Lake Superior. The trails incorporate many of our county's historic transportation, lumberjack and mining sites.

Pit stops on the trails are a must! Quaint pubs, taverns, rustic restaurants and an array of lodging choices are readily available. Hurley's Famous Silver Street is an entire experience in itself with its sparkling nightlife and all the FUN that we are known for.

Schomberg Park is a Park and Campground with amenities to include 14 campsites with electrical hook-ups, bathrooms, showers, dump station, ATV wash, and day use parking. Having exclusive trails access, this park and campground is nestled right next to Layman's Creek and one of the most peaceful spots in all of Iron County.

We look forward to hosting your next recreational trail experience right here in the Hurley Area.
