Motorized Trails
North Iron County offers THE Ultimate Recreational Trail Adventure with access to hundreds of miles of electrifying trails -- the largest trail system in Wisconsin. Our trail system has family friendly trails that are easier to navigate to the more challenging for the experienced rider. Scenic beauty abounds with many opportunities to "get back to nature." Ride through forest land to the secluded Spring Camp Falls or out to the shore of the largest freshwater lake in the world, Lake Superior. The trails incorporate many of our county's historic transportation, lumberjack and mining sites.
Pit stops on the trails are a must! Quaint pubs, taverns, rustic restaurants and an array of lodging choices are readily available. Hurley's Famous Silver Street is an entire experience in itself with its sparkling nightlife and all the FUN that we are known for.
Schomberg Park
Schomberg Park offers 14 campsites with electrical hook-ups, bathrooms, showers, dump station, ATV/ UTV wash, and day use parking. Having exclusive trails access, this park and campground is nestled right next to Layman's Creek and one of the most peaceful spots in all of Iron County.
ATV trail access along with overflow or day use parking with a loading ramp are adjacent to the campground.
Schomberg Park is open from approximately May 15 through October 15. RVs welcome. The pavilion is reservable for family gatherings and parties.
Due to the rising popularity of camping, reservations are strongly encouraged.
Weber Lake Park
Weber Lake Park offers 11 campsites with electrical hook-ups, bathrooms, showers, ATV/ UTV trail access, boat ramp, hiking, day use parking and playground. Nestled next to Weber Lake it is a perfect spot to call home while you adventure through the area.
Weber Lake is an excellent panfish and trout fishing lake. At 61 acres, it also makes a relaxing paddle in your kayak or canoe. Weber Lake is a slow-no-wake lake. Whitecap Mountain Resort and Skye Golf are adjacent to the County Park property.
Weber Lake has 12 campsites which include 1 electrical site and 1 tent site. Water is available. Showers and flush toilets. Boat launch, playground, and swimming area. ATV trail access to Trail 6.
